The perfect work station for the serious cook. The end grain butcherblock is built for years of cutting and heavy use. The end grain is not only extremely beautiful but also very hard and resistant to abrasion from chopping. The thickness of the top also will allow you to refinish this top for generations. The top of the piece is finished with a food grade butcher block oil and is easily maintained with any butcherblock wax or oil and can be refinished easily with a light sanding and reapllication of the oil. The base is made of solid hard maple and can be painted any color you can find a name and product number for.
The piece measures 54 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 36 inches tall. It has a seating area on one side and open shelving on the opposite. The shelves are spaced 12 inches appart. The top pictured is 3 inches thick and made of cherry but you can select any material you would like for the top.
